We hiked the Zugspitze !

Last weekend 5 friends and I went down to Garmisch and did a two day hike with a guide. We hiked the Zugspitze, the highest peak in Germany ! We hiked about 10-12 miles the first day through the Partnach Gorge and then about 5-6 miles up steep terrain the second day. We stayed the night in an old cottage that was built in the 1800's and had bunk style sleeping, 7 of us were in one bunk bed, it was different, but fun :) The hike was a challenge, but a was a great time. Our pictures turned out great, only because the scenery was gorgeous ! I hope you enjoy.
Love Nicki

Here we are ready to go !

So high up !

Once we settled for the evening in our cabin, we took a little walk without our backpacks, what sweet relief that was !
This river I am beside was so beautiful ! The most pure and fresh water ever.
This is Reintal Valley below that we walked through.
