Hello Everyone !
It has been so long since I have posted, but here it is............I spent 2 wonderful weeks over Christmas in Ohio with my friends and family and it was a well spent 2 weeks. I had such a great time relaxing and enjoying Christmas at home. I would love to jump right back on a plane and come home, but I need to be here where home is. The adjustment was a little hard coming back to an empty home when I had been so used to having family around me at all times. Almost 3 weeks have passed and I am getting back into my normal routine and finding comfort in all that the Lord has provided me with. My friends and I took a little trip to Garmisch, Germany last weekend to do a little skiing and a lot of relaxing. It was a wonderful weekend ! Wesley is doing well. He is now the XO of the company which is a little different than being a Plattoon Leader. Wes loved being PL, so this is going to be a little bit of an adjustment for him. He will be great though ! Please keep he and I in your prayers as we stick out this deployment. We appreciate you and your prayers so much. We feel them all ! Hi Nicki & Wes, how beautiful the scenery is on your ski trip Nicki! I am sure that was a great way to start out the new year. Wes, it looks like Nicki kept your temporary home well decorated for the holidays! :) Hang in there. Our thoughts are with you often.
Nicki, thank you for coming over! Having you & April here at home seemed so regular. It is amazing how God has allowed our sight and soul to hold on to those normalities like they have never changed with just an opening of the door.
