Trip to Wurzburg

Hello !
I'm sorry that it has been a month since I have posted. Sometimes I just don't know what to post if Wes and I haven't gone anywhere exciting recently, but we just took an exciting trip, so I have some pictures to share. For my birthday Wes and I went to Wurzburg, which is about 1.5 hrs. from where we live. There is an Army post there and it is quite a bit larger than Vilseck, which means there was a Taco Bell - which we loved and a nice PX to shop at. After we made our errands there, we visited downtown Wurzburg, which was absolutely beautiful. I hope you enjoy the pictures and we hope everyone is doing well back home !

Marienberg - old Palace

These pink flowering cherry trees were gorgeous.

Another view of the city and the Main River

Wurzburg is Germany's Franken Wine Capital, you can see the fields in the background - Wurzburg is surrounded by vineyards. Just beautiful !

Typical German city houses

The Residenz, the former palace of the prince-bishops - one of the main attractions of Wurzburg.

This is the entrance to the gardens of the Residenz .
Marienberg Palace - and vineyards surrounding on the incline

This church was gigantic and when the bells started ringing at 3:00 we couldn't hear eachother speak.
